Whole Food Revolution – A winning combination of science, practicality, and mindset

If you are reading this,  it is because you value your health, and you are sick and tired of being sick and tired.

We, at whole food revolution, felt exactly the same. Each of us, went through a different health path, reached a similar conclusion that our health is in our hands. We combined our personal skills and talents to start this revolution of changing the lives of millions of people around the world to achieve health and wellbeing, without medication.

I’m sure you have tried diets in the past and our philosophy of whole food and low carb and healthy fat is not really new. We didn’t reinvent the wheel. Many wonderful inspiring people did that before us. Still, knowing what to eat or what not to eat, never did the trick for anyone and the daily struggles with stress and circumstances, difficulties, aches and pains, obligations, and responsibilities, sends us back into old habits of fast dirty fuel  to sooth the present moment.

This Yo Yo roller coaster can drain more energy than we gain, over several months of eating well.

Over the time we discovered that there were three elements to this healing process. We found the winning formula.
People need to master three of them, in an individual ratio, in order to succeed and maintain that success. I’m sure you have heard yourself saying many times, the real battle starts when I have reached my goal. I know I did.
So, no, losing the weight is great but not enough, maintaining it is.
getting rid of medication is great , maintaining it is what matters.

it is like being a celebrity, you work so hard to reach the top but staying there is harder.

3 components of success

The first component of this success is understanding the science. We have met people doing low carb eating for years but they don’t really understand why they are doing it or what is happening in their body while they are doing it. Or people saying “ I do half keto”. There is no such thing, half low carb or half keto.
Some people, not understanding the science make this eating lifestyle a religion. They don’t touch certain food that are not on the list but could benefit them or eat food on the list that clearly makes them feel uncomfortable.  Every small setback will throw them off the track and their emotional side is very compromised.  I’m not saying everyone needs  a degree in science, but everyone must know the basics.  Dr. Nelum is amazing in explaining it simply that every workshop we have many people saying they understood things they never did. I can tell you myself that I have been on this journey for years and I still learn the science, which is very helpful.

The second component of this success is turning this into a lifestyle and not a diet. We can’t be on a diet all our lives, but we can adopt a lifestyle that is sustainable. Knowing the science of why it is important for us to eat whole food, needs to be translated to daily life. When people start any health regime, they have millions of questions of how to incorporate it into real life. When you are used to doing something for so many years, the transition to a new way of doing things, requires support and even more support, until you are strong and solid enough to be that support to other people. ( this is how revolutions work!)
The practical side of changing your eating habits is critical to this success. It is the component that we have added to ensure this transition is not overwhelming. Deb, our nurse, who is the queen of practicality, amazes us every session, every meeting and gathering with the tips and tricks that help people stick to their own plans, longer.

The third component of this success is addressing the mindset part of every transition. ( that’s my role).  Knowing what to eat and why and learning practical tools, just don’t work against the power of our own mind to go back to old habits.
Most people know what they are supposed to do but their emotions, thoughts, fears, and the way they manage themselves is a huge obstacle to this success. When we say that we are our worse critics, they mean it big time. This critic goes with us everywhere and self-sabotage any attempt to change and when we do succeed, it’ll be critical towards the success with “not good enough” thoughts and feelings.
Understanding the science of the body in order to manipulate it, goes hand in hand with understanding the science of the mind. The body and mind are interconnected in our health and wellbeing. When one is compromised, the other is too.
As a life coach and a happiness coach, I know that changing the way we eat, is simply not enough. In this process with the perfect combination of science, practicality, and mindset we are in fact helping people develop a new identity of someone who is kind to his/her body and mind.

No, it is not a simple list of what to eat and what not to eat that will do the trick. It is understanding and implementing and incorporating it into your individual physical and emotional  circumstances that matters.

In this process there is a lot of letting go ( fears, myths, habits, traditions, upbringing…)  and plenty of adopting new ways of being. Not just new ways of eating but new ways of being.
Over the time we have been running those programs, with many feedback and referrals we, whole food Revolution team, found  a winning combination that makes this revolution works. Without one component, these wheels of change  simply move too slow or is brief and weak when facing the difficulties of life.
Each of those essential , connected components of success, functions as an anchor to cling to in times of storms.

Combining science, practicality and mindset is a winning formula. Whether you use our program to achieve the desired health and well-being or any other program, make sure you invest in all those three components if you want to be successful.
