When someone askes me what color do I like, my answer is “yes”

I absolutory love colors.
I didn’t always think that because I was very much trapped in what I should like.
About 26 years ago, I met a friend and she thought me a big lesson in life. Not to minimize myself so others won’t feel threatened.
she had long nails and each of them had a different striking color. At first, I thought “Wow, that was too much” but the more I got to know her, the more I realized that it makes her happy and she is not hurting anyone else and honestly, I didn’t even understand my own reaction to it.
What does it mean? too much? To who?
I tried it for a while ( I don’t paint my nails at all), striking colors and every finger with different colors. Wow, that was fun! I felt… free.
If it happens to you that you were “trapped” In what others might think about you and you are afraid to dare, think how much you are depriving yourself of joy.
It is a natural reaction to “rapport” with others and when we shine, we are afraid that our “light” will make others uncomfortable. That it’ll be “too much” for them. We dim ourselves to fit in.
Don’t!
When we do that, we are disconnected from ourselves
When we give ourselves a permission to shine, we give others permission to do the same.
Now you know why I had to take that photo on the weekend.
Had to show my true colors.
Happy day to you wonderful people
